In our workshops we usually cover the following subjects:
·    Extending existing functions
·    Customizing/Configuring the existing products
·    Intefaces to existing or planned databases and programs
·    Integration of existing or planned programs
·    Defining of Functions and workflows related to the products

Our workshops are usually booked immediately after the training sessions. This is based on the fact that during the training course you will see the possibilities of the products and where there are starting points to enhance productivity.
The workshops will be hold by personnel which is experienced in the plant design industry as well as experienced as a developer. This guarantees that all subjects can be discussed during the workshop.
The duration of the workshop depends on the contents as well as the requirements you have. In general it takes 1 - 2 days. During these days we can also figure out if it is necessary to add additional days in the future to talk about in more depth.
 
The result of the workshop is:
·    Answers to questions about the possibilities of the products
·    Definition/Specification of interfaces (databases as well as software)
·    Definition/Specification of necessary customization and configuration
·    Specification of development jobs

As you can see from this list the result of a workshop ends in customization (not development) and software development.

 Customization & Configuration

The products are delivered in a default setup. However, the plant design industry shows that almost every company uses its own standards an has its own requirements. Or you have to adapt the products according to your customers requirements.
Therefore we of course can help you making these modifications even though they are usually quite easy but time consuming.

Customization covers the following areas:
·    Changing the way objects are tagged and annotated (e.g. how should equipment being tagged in your P&ID)
·    Customizing data fields
·    Integrating your existing P&ID symbols
·    Adapting the CAD layer structure and colors
·    Filling the title block
·    Creating reports

Along with the customization you also will receive a document where you can see what changes have been made. This guarantees that later it will be clear to everybody what has been changed. This is most important when updating the product.

Software development

Software development is a very important part of our company. This goes back when we started the development of ACPLant Designer back in 1989 (AutoCAD 9/10). The development division was expanded also for the new Autodesk Plant Solution products (AutoCAD P&ID, Plant 3D).

In this section it's mostly about the developing of software based on the results of the workshop.
The last years have showed that the requirements of our customers grow constantly. This has various reasons.

For example:
·    Users know the software better and better and know, at least in theory, about the software's capabilities.
·    Owed to the facto f constantly raising wages the software hast o be used more and more effectively.
·    Departments have to "grow together" and data have to be used over department boundaries.
·    More and more existing software and data does existing in your company which has to be integrated.

We try to put more and more functionality in our standard products. However, there is always the need for individual development, but we still try to integrate the individual developments into our standard products. Through integration these functions will automatically maintained during updates.
 
Like with the customizations, at the end you will receive a document with the description of the functions of the delivery.
